It does seem to be a local thing then.
Personally, I'm starting to think it's all a conspiracy to remove the gh3y section regularly appearing on pages 5 and 6 of my former school's guestbook, with all the people in their Halloween costumes.
Well, call off the shooting idiots, you succeeded. Not only is there no costumes, but even the usual out-of-uniform last-friday-of-the-month has been changed to today (it's a catholic school).

Well, while nothing actual seems to have happened here, the scare was effective - in this neghbourhood where we're usually surrounded by kids, only 8 showed up at the door to trick-or-treat...
oh well. More treats left for me

Alright, I'm sick of Americans and their stereotypical ideas about Canada....so here's my challenge:
Name -one- difference between Canada and America, other than the fact in Canada, our medicare is free and our government/military is formed differently.
If you can name a significant difference I'll be quiet. Canada, other than temperature, is virtually NO different from the United States. We watch the same things, do the same things, talk the same, go through the same fads, rely on the same fashion and entertainment, play the same games....other than the setup of our governments (President vs Prime Minister) and our healthcare, nothing is different at all.
That I will stand by. Prove me wrong.

Actually I've been under the impression that Canada and Texas are essentially the same (except for "minor" climate difference
)
We both have a few main cities with fairly high populations, and quite a large area that is sparsly populated. Lots of areas pretty untouched by "civilization", good fishing, decent hunting.
As far as a whole with the US being compared to Canada I'd say it's the navy that's the biggest difference.

You guys get ninja's.
