  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

1.) The comment lays an impression on the viewer, and has also contributed to public ridicule. I won't say more.

2.) His name has nothing to do with the video quality, I never said it did. I only suggested he change it because whether you think so or not, names do have bearing on how a person, and in this case his work is related to, in the minds of people.

3.) If you want to show your work proudly, will you present it poorly?

4.) I never said it had anything to do with his editing skills, but it contributes to the view of his work.

5.) God no, those bands are almost as bad as 'Nsync.

6.) Learn how to comprehend what you read. OtakuForLife didn't ask for a review, he asked for comments. So I gave him just that. There is a difference between plain comments and a review ed.
Having read what you wrote, I also find that your post contains some unneccessary material that has little to do with the matter a hand. The fact that you disclaim that your issues with OFL's name, spelling, choice of music (which is as far as I can see Daniel Bedingfield, not N'Sync) and so on are unrelated to the ability of said person to edit, this confirms that they are indeed unneccessary.

Personally, I feel that whether or not you as a viewer like the musical artist doesn't matter. A good song might carry a mediocre AMV, but ultimately it's the quality of the video that you should be looking for, not the quality of the song.

I realise that you are in your own words posting comments rather than a review, but that kind of mild personal attack I still feel is uncalled for. I hope that you can see this, apologise, and we can resolve this happily.

Incidentally, Willow's first language is not English, although they make a great effort to communicate; hence your comment about "learning to comprehend what you read" might also be a little out of line.

Sorry to sound like the police here, but I wanted to stick up for someone who I feel you have wronged.

Hey, no offence intended- your English is markedly better than my command of any other language- I just thought that Samej should know.

I actually thought the vid was pretty good..

You should work on your effects-use a bit more, but they aren't half-bad.. For example, if you hit all four beats using the first light-purple strips, I think it would've flowed better.. instead of just fading out the third strip on the fourth beat. I thought the lens flares were a little excessive too, but you made some good use of them.

Syncing was also good in many parts, but quite a few instances seem to be lacking..

Keep it up.

Apologies, I just realised that I misspelt your username.

All right, you say
bring your kind words or cross bows
You make three posts for comments, and when someone does you rag on him for giving him an opinion you didn't like? Then get into a debate over his single comment about your username in order to avoid the overlying issue of the crappiness of your video?

Psh.

Frankly, Semaj is right. This video sucked. The music sucked. The flares/crap/"smbolic" shit sucked.

I looked at some of your other videos--they also sucked.

Your. Videos. Suck.

The ideas are cliche. The effects are ripped (badly) off of other creators (for example, this one was trying to be so much like Euphoria it was sad). They have no consistency of execution or idea.

No, I do not make AMVs. But I can tell which ones are good and which one are not, and this one sucked.

I've said it to others--when you post your video up here, you're asking for an honest opinion. If what you really want is a bunch of ass-kissing and lying about the suckiness of the video, you better say so. Most people aren't going to compliment shit if they don't know they're supposed to.

I downloaded this video because I love both Love Hina and the song. However, while it wasn't good, it wasn't bad. There were some interesting parts in the video. For the most part, though, it seemed overladen with unnecessary effects, and the scene selection didn't quite reflect the mood and lyrics of the song that well. This is, of course, just my opinion.
