Work on The Animatrix trailer is progressing well, dispite a 20second gap in my timeline that can't be worked on untill Pwolf learns how to use an FTP with out accidently deleting 450mb of a 600mb file instead of resuming it. (I tease. I wub Pwolfie ^.^) Escaflowne as World Record was gold, it's the best looking part so far.

I recently completed editing the Beyond segment using Lain as the replacement... it's sort of Blah, I'm totally not happy with it, I've either just made terrible scene selection or Lain just isn't the right anime. Does anyone have any other suggestions of what anime would best take the place of Beyond? Right now I'm looking into Perfect Blue, but I doubt it will work out, with the lack of agent type guys and matrixy bottle breaking effects and what not. :/

While I agree with mexicanjunior, thats what mods are for, moving stuff, if we all got it right, the mods would be out of a job wouldnt they

Anyway I always try to help :S.. I went threw all my anime and since I'm more of a "cute"-esc fan (speed racer, kiki's delivery service) I didn't have much of in the way of idea's but..

Maybe you could use a bit of akira, theres a few parts with that sort of stuff, maybe.

I wouldn't think this is a suggestion, it's the discussion of what anime would fit the role of another anime.

I'll never make an AMV using Akira, never ever ever.

Not to mention I already did a thread trying to get ideas for World Record, and no one said boo about it.

Cute stuff won't do well, the cute stuff tends to have pretty flat animation. Hrm... Blood: The Last Vampire might do it... But the Girl in that anime was so ugly. =X

Is your goal to get people to think the chicks are hot? or to make a good video?

No, I mean Seiya is like... Freaky Ugly, just her whole character design... yarg. Like, creepy horror shock, and Beyond is supposed to have more 'wonder' in it, Seiya always looks like she's about to go Pulp Fiction on your rear. I don't think she even smiles once in the whole thing, it wouldn't fit well at all.
