I don't know why everyone puts so much worth in the top 10%. It's just a list and bad reviews are going to happen when you get numbers like 300 reviews. It's pure statistics. I might also add that someone probably legitimately hates it out of 300 people.
:)

you got it all wrong....im not complaining about euphoria....it can hold it own any day

but anxiety doesnt have 300 reviews it had like 12?

i dont put to much into top10% i was just browsin the other day and i see anxiety up there then someone comes and leaves all 1's WTF?!?!?

I agree with dwchang here, by the way. I forgot to finish my post, but he did it rather nicely.

Well you can do your part and leave it an honest review in the goal to reach 300 reviews yes?

That's how this community works and if you feel an injustice has been done, counter-act it with your own honest review. Sure Euphoria has a few as well, but I'm sure over 250 of those reviews are honest and thus a high rating.

Do the same. Sure you're just one person, but it's all can you can do right? Posting this doesn't help at all IMO. I mean sure you can voice your concerns, but in the end all you can do is leave your own, honest review.

Oh and have Task talk to Phade :).

And BTW don't take this the wrong way. I saw the video at AWA and was very impressed with the comicbook effect.

There's never an excuse to give a video all 1's. NEVER. Even if its the biggest piece of shit video ever, there's gotta be SOMETHING that deserves better than a 1 on it.
I think the same should be said for people that give a video straight tens.

Don't you think that would cause too much work for the persons checking every single review with straight tens?

I think people who give out straight tens are going as much damage as people giving out straight ones. Both ends of the extreme are doing the same thing. They both rate a video without giving any consideration to it's actual technical and artistic merit. Both put videos wich arent deserving of such opinions in rankings they do not derserve to be in.

this has already been discussed...

someone told (I think it's AD) that straight 10's are not exactly the same thing as straight 1's

because you can't imagine giving 1 for audio, whereas you can imagine giving 10...

but anyway... I shouldn't talk about that...

and I agree with what dwchang said

The last I heard (and I think it was in Site Suggestions, if anyone wants to search for the thread), it isn't that Phade deletes the 'all 1s' and 'all 10s' reviews. It's that when the top 10 score is determined, the high and lows are dropped out of the average. So the review is still there, but it isn't counted in the overall score. I don't know if that's in effect yet, but that was the plan the last time someone brought this up. Actually deleting the reviews would take too long - it's easier if the system just automatically ignores them. [And *yes* this is the odd high and the odd low, not just the bad.]

So only the average scores are considered - meaning if the vid has an average of all 7s anything different from that will be left out regardless of the reasons a reviewer gives. All it means is that the vids with an average of 10 will be allowed to keep the 10s and ignore the 1s and a vid with an average of 8 will have the 1s *and* the 10s ignored. Obviously the top 10 list isn't accurate by any means, but you won't have to worry about a single 'all 1s' score hurting a high averaging vid.

I'll see if I can find that thread if this last much longer and people are still curious about it. :?

last time I read such a thread, the system was : not taking into account both the highest and lowest score when calculating the average mark.
