This doesn't mean you can't have your opinion that is separate from the opinion of others. It's just that you should pay attention to how other people react to your video if you want to get better. Of course, if you're really doing it for yourself and only yourself and not caring about improving, then you don't have to listen to what other people say.

Err, what I'm saying is you don't have to accept other people's opinions as the gospel, but you should at least pay attention to them if you want to improve.
I didn't mean to imply that if someone has a valid gripe about something technical in my video that I would ignore them. If what someone has to say is valid, I personally don't find a problem with trying to improve whatever it was I did wrong. That's the whole point of feedback, to improve. I was going more from the viewpoint of someone not liking my video on an idealistic level (i.e. not liking the song or anime I chose, not liking it being an action/drama/romance/comedy video, or just not 'getting' the point of the video).
Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.
And lighten up.

Wow, the filters really are improving. It even posts an apology for you.

Usually people make vids for themselves and if they are really happy with the end result, they want to share it with others. Sometimes with noobs, all they've seen is bad videos and they don't what a really good vid is. The really good creators have been in contests and have won awards. The famous creators probably have some of their own vids on their computers that are complete shit, but they were never hosted. The good creators usually get feedback from others who know a thing or two about amv's before the final vid is uploaded to the server. You can't be a master without being a noob first.

It's a fucking HOBBY.

Thank you.

Christ, you think it would kill some people to have some fun. What do you do when you're NOT trying to have fun? Drive railroad spikes into your forehead?

"Trying to have fun"? I know not the concept of which you speak.

Making AMVs is probably the closest I've ever come to doing something that I consider both fun and worthwhile, or that really gives me a sense of satisfaction... it's one of the only things that isn't boring in my life. And if I had more ideas (and source), I'd be doing it a lot more.

To me, it's satisfying enough to make it my major in college. Multimedia.

You're not getting paid for it, so you might as well enjoy it.
