I click on it anyway if it looks like a good combination. But when I see an Anime -- Song -- Artist title, my expectations sink like the Lusitania
What's up with blatantly uncreative titles?

Good point, Arigatomyna. Call it my anal attention to detail, but it seems that using Anime -- Song is redundant as a title. That information is on the video info page, so it doesn't NEED to be in the title. I suppose since I'm an artist as well (drawing), it's also a matter of presentation to me. While the title may not be something terribly original (like using a line in the song's chorus that seems to fit your video's theme; perfectly good way to arrive at a title), having a good title (one that is actually related to your piece without being corny) says to me "This person actually thought about their creation", thus I'm more likely to download it. For me, seeing "Rurouni Kenshin -- Unforgiven -- Metallica" is almost as bad as "Untitled."

Kusoyaro did that, and yes, it is very goodScintilla wrote:Wasn't there a video called "Self-Titled" that was actually really good? (I haven't seen it...)BishounenStalker wrote:For me, seeing "Rurouni Kenshin -- Unforgiven -- Metallica" is almost as bad as "Untitled."
Granted, some of the titles of videos aren't the most..."creative," they're just titles, and shouldn't reflect the quality of the video.

Funny thing about that video is that I would have used the song title if I could have...but there were 3 songsScintilla wrote:Wasn't there a video called "Self-Titled" that was actually really good? My first two vids were self-titled ("Warning (Asuka Remix)" and "Fine Again"), and then when I was working on See Ya Later, Naota, I came up with that title and decided to run with it, and it worked. Usually finding a song lyric and adjusting it for the title gives it at least a bit of creativity.
Oh, and when I see one of those Anime - Song titles, I know not to download it in the first place. If we can't have flashing lights above videos that say "NEWBIE!", we can at least have bad titles.
