Aoi (Day,Night and Loss) <3 small studios one vid>

Post by OtakuForLife » Wed Sep 24, 2003 12:08 am

This AMV alot of interesting things going for it like:

Song(s):
Eve6 - Here's to the Night

Anime(s):
Ai Yori Aoshi

One: It's the first time all three of the mini-studios
(SPAF,Deathsnake,Aida Works) have ever worked together on one vid.

Two: This Video has damn near prefect lipsnyc, throught the whole video.
A big thanks goes out to John for the help there.

Three: Resynced long shots, this video contains long scenes that have been reedited. Rather then lots of very broken-up lipsnycing.

Four: It's sappy, has a decent storyline and usful Fx's
thanks Dave and Me for that.

Five: Spent a long time working on it.

We hope you enjoy Aoi (Day,Night and Loss)

Wow so harsh

Post by OtakuForLife » Wed Sep 24, 2003 12:22 pm

-- I decide to use my firends account and read the review,
this has to-be the meanist and at-the-same time funniest
reviews I have ever read.

The music doesn't sound terrible.

It was so bad I had to actually watch the whole thing. It actually mesmerised me with its total lack of anything even remotely non-awful.

Bad Starting at the beginning, what is with the capture quality? I mean, really? What the hell? It's rippling through out (note the spelling, NOT 'throught') the entire video. And then there are the random points where it gets totally pixelly.
What is up with that?

Then there's this 'damn near prefect lip-snyc' which, I guess must be totally awesome, but I'm afraid it's wasted on me because I have no goddamn clue what a lip-snyc is, and a Prefect is a Ford model from England.
Seriously, though, half the time I can't even tell if they're supposed to be lip-syncing. The words don't match the lip movement except for exactly never, and almost every shot is of someone talking, and there's only one singer. What is the deal? Is everyone supposed to be sharing this night? Why do they all have the same voice? Was the night a night where some mad scientist cloned the singer from Eve 6's vocal chords and put it in all of their voice boxes? I AM CONFUSED.

And what is with these cuts? My favourites were the ones that happened for no apparent reason, like when there was a shot of a character and the camera was panning up, and then half way through, BAM, you're at their head and for some reason the screen is pixelly. That was brilliant. Cut of the year, I'd say.

Oh yes, and those digital effects are awesome. You were trying to turn the screen into pixelated garbage, right? It did nothing for the mood of the video, but man, was it ever effective.

There's probably other stuff I could talk about, but if you haven't figured out that I think this video is about the biggest piece of technical buggery I've ever seen already, I have nothing left to say to you anyway.

General Stop making videos. Please. If this took you a long time to do, there must seriously be a better way you could be spending your time. Because it's horrible.

Or at the very least, you could learn to type. I swear to you it isn't that hard.

Did he mean that Ford Prefect was a character in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy who lived in England?

I feel like such an idiot now... but at the same time, Ford's name suddenly makes so much more sense.
