My AMV is over 250 mbs large! How do I compress or split it?

Post by Spaz13 » Tue Sep 02, 2003 6:37 pm

 I have made what I think is an Awesome Dragonball Z AMV and it is over 250 MEGA BYTES LARGE!! I have no clue how to compress it or split it. If anyone could please tell me a *****free***** program I can use to split or compress it with, that would be a huge help. I used Adobe Premiere to make it. Thanx in advanced!

Thank you! It did help a little... but it is still confusing. I am only 15 years old, but that doesn't mean my Music vid's are bad! They rock! Most of them are based on Goku and Vegita! I'm still comfused a little... Thanks anyway! :D

Get LEAD multimedia converter. It uses all the .avi codecs you have to compress it.

Try going to <a href="http://www.webattack.com/freeware">www.webattack.com</a>

IZArc and GSplit are both good.

Yes, read the guides and if there are certain parts that confuse you, ask about it in the 'video software' forum. If you're using Premiere, you can get your size down by producing to huffyuv and compressing it to xvid with VirtualDub. If you're using windows movie maker 1.0 and it's in microsoft video avi format, try converting it to mpg (a google search will give you programs to do this). If you're having trouble getting it small in VirtualDub, try giving an estimate size you want the vid to be at - 50-60 being best unless you have 10 minutes of footage.
