Good videos

Post by billy_wires » Mon Sep 22, 2003 5:40 pm

Horray, I just recently got local downloads!! Now, can anyone suggest any good videos for the following anime:

DBZ
Love Hina
FLCL
Cowboy Bebop
Trigin
Hellsing

Ones I already like are:
DBZ: pretty much anything by supavegitto
Love Hina: Tarzan and Su, Come out and Play by Senta Miller
FLCL: Come out and Play by Matrix Studios
Cowboy Bebop: Tainted Donuts
Trigun: Tainted Donuts
Hellsing: Shameless gore video

The music doesn't really matter, I just want to see some videos.

Thanks

You came to the wrong place. We don't carry good AMVs. Try down the hall.

j/k

I know some will disagree with me on this one, but you can always try the "top 10%" list. Sure there are a lot of videos that were over-rated by friends and so on, but there are some true gems in there.

I also suggest the "search" option. Just input the animes you named and voila. I'd name something, but it's a matter of personal preference and it's possible you'd hate it.

yeah, but I'm too lazy to search through 65,000,000 (overstatement) of videos that are not posted with a link or anything, but I'll look over the 10% list again... I haven't looked since I got here...

Thanks

For FLCL I suggest Shameless Rock Video and for Cowboy Bebop and Trigun you might want to check out Tainted Donuts. I'm pretty sure these videos are both listed on the Top 10% vid list.

*points to SYLN link in profile for FLCL* :D

Also, check out Nightowl Studio's "Mad World" vid, another great FLCL piece.

For Bebop... well, there's Wonka's 'Appetite for Dynamite', there's Yesterday, there's... plenty out there.

Egh...what are the chances of actually finding a good video through a search? Maybe when they get that added as a filter in the top 10 list it'll be useful, but right now you might as well try every single video in the site that uses the anime you want. And even if he goes through the top 10 list, he has to click on the titles before he knows the anime used, and he'll still only find one or two for some of those anime.

My suggestion if you're going to use the top 10 list to look for vids using certain anime:

If it's Love Hina, filter by comedy, fun or romance under the genre, and try the vids that score high in capture quality (most are high quality fansubbed footage that all look like the same source = high scores here), re-view, and maybe even action sync (not as likely).

If you want DBZ, filter by action, drama, or serious under genre, and try the vids that score high in action sync, originality (if a dbz vid scores high there, it's probably a good one), and re-view (if you filter by 'fan' and not creator you'll get better luck here).

Generally, it's filtering according to what types of vids are popular for each different anime. If you narrow the search you just might actually find the anime you want using the top 10 list. :?

Of course, that just means the vid is popular (reviewable counts more than anything else on that list), not that it's any better made than the vids not listed there.

Can't help you there. As with DBZ, CB, and Trigun, I haven't seen this series; but unlike with CB and Trigun, I don't have friends shoving Hellsing AMVs down my throat.
