Using .hack//sign subbed footage!

Post by ANTDrakko » Thu Sep 18, 2003 8:48 pm

Hey guys. I'm currently doing a video using .hack//sign, but all the footage I have is subtitled! I have taken the liberty of watching over the entire anime carefully, and noting the Episode, Time frame, and other descriptions about the clips that you can use for a video! Its all available on a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet, and the 4 Catagories I have them in are:

Landscape Footage

Character Close-ups

Fighting Footage

Other - Things that look nice/special events/etc.

If you would like a copy of this excel spreadsheet, gimme a ring at Seen@seenage.com ! Thanks for listenin'!

P.S. This is also posted in the AMV Suggestions forum, I didn't know which forum to post this in, both of them seemed to apply, sorry for any incovienence!

Knowing you probably won't really adhere to the rules...

You know... I hate downloaded footage, but maybe he just bought japanese subtitled vhs? (do they even release those anymore?)

Just felt I should be nice... for once.

Ahem, this technically is downloaded footage, but I do happen to own all .hack//sign on DVD, straight from Animeniacs.com themselves. Honestly, don't jump to conclusions so quickly, though I respect and abid by your rules.

It's always better to use DVD footage, so if it all possible, wait untill you can get the DVDs and then do your video. You've already got the scenes you want all categorized and such, so now it's just a matter of patience.

And Klicks:

I am fully aware of those methods, and quite actually, plan to use them in small portions in my upcoming video. I only offer this method of selection because many of those methods are ether highly time consuming or end up leaving a quite noticable smudge mark, dropping the quality of the video.

Its funny, though, how a-m-v.org can host a "subtitle removal guide" , yet be "oh so highly against" downloaded footage, which is 99% of the time that the subtitle removal is neccesary. Just thought it a bit ironic.

Anywho, like I mentioned earlier, sorry if I caused any unrest in the community, I was simply trying to assist fellow AMVs makers in any way that I can, regardless if they abide by the "Rules" of a-m-v.org . I have my own opinion of those rules, but that is nether important or on subject.

Thank you for your time.
