Spreading your AMVs

Post by Esrhan » Fri Sep 12, 2003 6:16 pm

A basic guestion from a newcomer. What is the best way to "advertise" your anime music videos for the bublic?

I always believed bublic to be some sort of Russian snack.

But anyways, here's some suggestions:

1) Post in the AMV Announcement forum to let people know it's been released.

2) Post in the Op Exchange forum to offer people to trade opinions for vids

3) Put it in your forum sig and post on the forums, hoping that your presence will be enough to entice a member or to to click on that link...
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

It's a pun, don't worry.

Anyways, like I said, see above.

Entering vids in contests is also a good idea.

I just post them and let cyber-winds blow instances of them to whereever.

Sometimes I actually become foolish enough to believe that something I do will be convention-worthy.

I've only made 3 videos so far, and the 2 that WEREN'T Windows Movie Maker jobs have both been sent to a bunch of cons (though one of them won't premiere until Nan Desu Kan 7 next weekend)... because I saw no reason not to. If the cons don't take them, well, at least I tried.

I think that while you should make an AMV because you want to, sending it to a convention signifies that "this is the best that I can do, damnit, and I want to REALLY show it off".

There's only been one video (well, actually, two, if you count the DDR track ) that I've made that I've felt that ever fit that criteria...

You could get really devoted and just get like 500 acounts, then put a 10.00 score on your video 500 times, and 500 5 star scores.

If anyone was devoted enough to their video to get 500 acounts and go threw that much trouble.. I'd let them have it.
