I get choked up real good towards the end of Hoshi No Koe. Also, seeing people cry somehow gets me emotional. There could be like nothing else going on and then somebody bursts out into tears and I'm like OMGWTF
Im so gehy

And even though it's not anime, The Green Mile made me fuckin' BALL
Well I didn't see Trigun yet, but Grave of the Fireflies, only just once. I was maybe 15 or 16 and it was on TV, and I didn't know balls about anime. But I cryed for sure.

I don't cry. Ever. My family ruined that perfectly socialally acceptable venting of emotion and instilled a indestructable block in my psyche that prevents me from crying.

That, and I'm a realist. I know it's designed to evoke an emotional response, and once I realize it, the emotion gets cut off. That and the fact that I know it's fictitional really puts a damper on things.

It's cool to be serious about anime... people do it over music, concerts, Art, their pets, what-have-you. People shouldn't mock unless you were crossing the line of sanity and interleaving your life and anime together so that there was no real distinction between the two.

Or, if you were caught doing one of two things:

1. Wondering if Faye Valentine's breasts were real or slicone enhanced
2. Wanting to engage in coitus with an anime character.

because:
1. They're neither real nor fake... they're ink
2. You could, theoretically, have sex with inky cels... but is the experiment worth the stigma?

SPOILERS OF:
Now and Then, Here and There

I've found that anime that have similar plots or problems that are still going on in society or the world, seem to get to me a lot. Such as those in times of war, or based solely on hate kind of things. Since you can relate, they just keep coming back into your mind, so you can reflect even deeper into the matter.

But the one anime that I would have to say takes the cake for me, is Now and Then, Here and There. The whole story, of the crazy king, who was driven to take over the world, at any cost. What mostly aggs on me from that is how unfair it was, and the times where you just want to say 'Shu, you idiot, kick his ass!'. The later, you come back to it, thinking of other things that he could have done. Though that isn't the part that makes me cry, that just brings me back to it.

How all of those innocent people, lost their lives (this may sound confusing to those who haven't seen it). How Shu realized the truth, and tried to tell people about it, but they were too clouded to see it, and they just kept on going, then got killed. When that asshole killed Nabuca I wanted to scream.
And when Soon shot Boo... To tear jerking.

... Enough of the guy with the DBZ screen name's stories...

Yeah. Violen and other string instruments have an odd yet natrual way of catching emotion somehow. They really do tend to get to me, as demonstrated in the song "People Everyday" from the Trigun OST

8)

There are some anime scenes I hjave seen that I have to wonder how some people could not help be moved to tears.

The end of Cowboy Bebop: Jupiter Jazz pt 2 had me all watery eyed.

I dont remember which one but there were a few episodes of Trigun that had me teary eyed.

The end of .hack//Sign didnt make me want to cry but I was all choked up.

I wonder what your face looks like after crying for 3 days.
