I hate rap, but it is music . . . hell beating on a drum or an ass cheek is music. As much as I cant stand rap, I still wouldn't say its not music of some kind.

As far as retirement goes, I suggest taking a month off from AMVs in general then after the month is over, come back and see if you still dont want to do AMVs anymore.

I think my main reason for loss of interest is lack of a good computer. I mean... I only got like 5GB available and when you're making alot of clips for music videos that runs out really quickly. Especially if you're saving clips for multiple video ideas. Also my DVD rom is #$%&ed up if I ever wanted to rip my clips that way. And I don't like AMVs enough that I'm willing to blow over $1000 on a new computer. Lastly even if this isn't a retirement it's still gonna be a long vacation from doing them at least... I've got so many games piled up that I have to beat now and There are still a few more coming out that I plan on buying.

Heh, you reminded me that I still haven't touched the Grand Theft Auto game my brother lent me. ^_^;;

I guess as long as you're doing it for the right reasons, I won't complain much. And I know what you mean about size issues - I average 6gigs on a short vid for clips. I wouldn't spend that much for a new computer just to do this either. I just had a crash during college and had enough money to get one, otherwise I'd never have made a single vid.

Anyway, try to hang around some, even if you're busy playing games. ^_~

If its insprition you lack then my cure for you would be watch a real music video to the song you like the most or something....

....then laugh at how anime clips would have mad it so much better

I've also always had trouble thinking of music video ideas that aren't DBZ related. Anything I make that doesn't involve DBZ usually falls under the pointless action + music = cool video category. Which is kinda weird cause that's what kind of videos people usually make with DBZ and not the other way around... I still plan to make a music video with clips from Dynasty Warriors 4, Warcraft 3, and Starcraft sometime soon though(All games involving wars). But that won't take up anywhere near as much time or space as other videos I'd want to do since there is only so many clips I have to choose from with that.
