Retirement

Post by OzzieArcane » Thu Aug 21, 2003 2:56 am

Yeah I know I'm new around here so I'm not sure how many people this will matter to, but after giving it abit of thought. I've decided to retire from making AMVs.

Why? Because no matter how often I make them I never really put in the amount of effort I should, I'm no longer getting awhole lot of enjoyment out of it, and I have a less then perfect computer for doing this.

I'm still gonna be hanging around on the forums and reviewing peoples videos when I can. I also may try to put up some more of my older videos(Although if anyone ops them I will be of course be expecting less then perfect scores). Anyhow, that's about it.
My latest video:Ranma Chan is Too Sexy
My less then magnificant website: Planet Arcane

You've been a valuable asset to our organization, but sadly, it appears you must go. Drop by the HR office and pick up your final paycheck. Be sure to clean your desk out, otherwise security will throw out anything they find in there.

So to conclude, good luck, sorry you didn't fit in with the rest of the employees here at AMVaCorp, but sometimes, as Sun Tzu said, "Even a circle can't fit in a circle hole".

I'm out...

I'd retire myself, but for some reason
I can't

I can only joke about it though :)

"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)

Did you get bored? Lack of sources? Lack of inspiration? It sure wasn't the skill, since I've seen a number of your vids. But if it's the first or last of those above, I understand. Still...it'll be boring to watch vids without making your own, don't you think? :?

anyone can retire, anyone can start - the fun times are everything in between.

On the negitive side, RAW footage is widely available and RAP is not music.

On the positive side, Rug Rat's and DBZ are starting to look like the people next door - soo inspiration should not be a factor T_T

Run if you will and Hide if you must,
we'll alway's be here if and when you cange your mind ^^

T_T . . oh - really ?!

8) name 3 songs that are not:
copies of previously recorded songs,
stolen beat's that no one else has used or thought of,
and words un-used by other RAPPER's - let alone even slightly original 8)

. . . . . . . . . better yet, name just ONE

How did this turn into another bashing thread? People seem to forget the fact that every genre of music borrows, samples, and outright copies from other music/songs.

You want one?

Busta Rhymes-"Why We Die"
Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.
And lighten up.

I remember a while ago I went into a little "retirement". Lack of inspiration, interest and many other things. It wasn't too long ago when I got back in the mood to start editing again (and an even greater desire to do so than ever before).
Why? Because no matter how often I make them I never really put in the amount of effort I should, I'm no longer getting awhole lot of enjoyment out of it, and I have a less then perfect computer for doing this.
I know exactly how you feel...went through the same thing, you'll get over it eventually...at least I did
