the meetings between fights,
just general friendship . . . those are rare scene's and not used in Video's that I've seen !!

Reason there aren't any: a lot of the "good" footage is in the discs that are only coming out now. So.

I have one on Mikage, but he's not one of the usual bishounen. I plan to do one on Akio after the series is all out. And my Setokai vid should of course have a medium amount of the two usual bishounen.

I was going to do one with a lot of Ruka, but a) he's not one of the usual bishounen either and b) I think that idea is getting scrapped.

A massive cross editing AMV of DBZ and Evangelion using Korn's All in the Family f. Limp Bizkit.

One of the main DBZ characters would be Jon (Goku, Vegita, whatever) and Sinji would be Fred. Some of the sexual references to Fred would fit with Sinji's family and prolly Vegita would fit the part of the look of Jon.
I know the song is fairly explicit but the video wouldn't need to show any nudity. I would fully expect an excellent job on the editing though, no slacking off. Not just scenes from each anime, but more like, the DBZ character edited into Eva and incorporate some fighting between said character and one of the Eva units.

Oh right, as for videos we want to see: this is ridiculously specific, but bear with me.

Song: U2 - Even Better Than the Real Thing (Perfecto Mix). It has to be Perfecto. It's so ungodly silly. It has this headache-inducing early-90s dance beat and a chorus of backup singers going "Take me hi-yah!" God, I love that mix. Anyway.

In the background it's a male-fanservice/bishounen video in intentionally cheesy style. Not so much nudity as "camera pans up way too slow for this to be anything but fangirl bait" style. In the foreground, to fit the cheesy ladies'-night vibe, karaoke video lyrics running through the foreground. In Japanese, badly Babelfished from English.

With that highlighting that slides over the text. Oh yeah. Every so often there would be thrown in a random phrase just to see if people are on their toes.

I once had the idea of doing two fanservice videos to the same song (this, the original mix), one male and one female, but now the Ladies' Night idea here has eaten my brain and spit it back out.

This, now, would make my head explode with glee.

I have a weird sense of humor, I guess.

Here I have a brief list of scenes that could be used, though I know I'm leaving a lot out:
-Heero on the beach, in the van
-Duo and Heero in the hospital, later on the ship & Heero stealing parts from Duo's Gundam (him flying away wouldn't count as 'fighting' in a gundam)
-Quatre and Trowa on their gundams (not fighting in them), and then at Quatre's base
-Wufei in the wilderness with the wolves, all those shots of him talking to Nataku, him and Treize (a fight without Gundams)
-Duo and Heero at the school, the meeting with Relena and the plan to destroy the base
-any of those shots of Quatre and the Maguanacs
-Quatre and Heero in space after their fight, and then in custody of OZ & their escape - the scene with the doctors after that, back to earth along the beach, their second escape, Quatre roaming the countryside and Heero talking to the soldiers, Quatre and Heero going to the Sanq kingdom, Heero and Quatre countering Relena's need for pacifism (with Noin outside the suits)
-Quatre and Duo at Quatre's base, them watching the news report, Duo in space and his encounters with Hilde, him and Trowa meeting up, him back with Quatre, Quatre meeting Trowa, them joining up with Duo after the encounter with Deathscythe, all those scenes on the ship up until Heero and Wufei show up (and the scenes where Wufei joins Sally and Heero), the problem with Cathy and her colony and Trowa running to save her
-all the talk during the 'Zechs wants to blow up the world section' - (and those scenes of Zechs as he takes off into space, his encounter with Heero before their duel, before that you have the Heero/Trowa scenes with the highwire act and the motorcycle
-if you include the movie you have the separate histories for each of the pilots, Duo and Quatre saying goodbye to their gundams, Duo and Heero planning to rescue Relena, Quatre's struggles with the Maguanacs - he's not in his suit at all in the movie till the end, Duo and Heero infiltrating the base (outside their suits running through the hall), the encounter with Trowa, Duo's escape and meeting with Trowa and Sally, the final scenes of the pilots blowing up their gundams and those separate 'after the movie' shots

Really, tell me there isn't adequate footage...
I would *kill* for this series with all the usable scenes it has in it...

So you mean you can't take shots of Inuyasha and tell about his character unless you do it from her point of view - just because the anime is told that way? If that's true, there would be very few amvs since people retell stories using music - and the stories *don't* have to match the original anime. I don't see that it would be too hard to take shots of Inuyasha set to a song that tells about his character, with scenes of him growing up, his hanyou nature, his wanting to be stronger, and then his horror when he loses control and turns full-blooded demon. The point of view would be the unseen narrator - there's no need to have Kagome lip sync the lyrics just because the anime is told with her voice. The great thing about amvs is that you don't *have* to retell the anime - you can make your own stories *using* the anime...
