After much wrestling with encoding and exasperation over in the Video Software and Audio Help forums (many, many thanks to everyone who helped!), I finally got this thing in working order. Which is kind of sad, because it's a pretty lackluster vid.

But I'll know for future reference, anyway.

I wanted to do something very, very simple and straightforward, just cuts and fades, though a couple of basic overlays crept in there too. It's just a small project to pass the time until I feel like making something uberchallenging again.

So yes, this video being very simple is INTENTIONAL. I can do stuff more challenging than this, I just didn't feel like it this time around. So no flames on that respect kthx.

It's not the most original idea in the world, being one of about 800,000 Utena Movie romance vids, but again, see paragraph about "small project to pass the time." I did change the storyline a bit, taking out a lot of the subplots and simplifying it overall.

Despite all of that, it turned out kind of pretty and refreshing, IMO. The song is a favorite of mine, with a little bit of a Brazilian flavor and a nice fresh sound. It's very sweet and if you like this kind of thing, give it a look-see.

Yeah, basically.

But this is my first one! So I'm doing only a little damage in the overpopulation problem. (Okay, so that FF8 travesty from my second day of vid-making was kind of romancey, but it was more romantic-comedy-ish.)

I was not aware that there was an overpopulation of quality videos.

I meant sappy romance vids in general, and sappy romance Utena vids in particular, but thank you. Got the opinion, and answered. 8)

Eh, despite the fact that I've seen a lot of vids along these lines before, I did try to make it, if not groundbreaking, at least coherent and well fit to the song.

ergh. Anyone who says "You're too down on yourself" needs to actually see one of my vids, but anyway. Thanks for downloading. Despite not being the most groundbreaking thing ever, I think this one is pretty nice.

And now I'm repeating myself, so that's all.
