Most Extreme Elimination Challenge!
This is the freaking show! I love it. Is there anything better than watching a crazy japanese gameshow where the some of the people damn near kill themselves trying to win, while American's dub over the voices and names in the show for comedic effect? I know I can't be alone on my views of this show. It just too damn awesome.
The japanese knw how to make their TV shows right. They've got anime, they've got Godzilla, they can give you seizures, and they have these crazy gameshow that people do these crazy stunts on! Gotta love it.
And we can't forget Banzai, which was on CityTV until they dropped it, but has now reappeared on FOX.

Re: Most Extreme Elimination Challenge!
After spending several months in Japan, I must say that aside from anime (and most of that too), Japanese TV is one huge cesspool. 'Reality' tv shows are the worst part of it. I mean, I watched this game show where competitors sat on chair and then they had to hit a button with a (rubber) hammer.Kegger007 wrote:The japanese knw how to make their TV shows right. Power of the strike determined how many points and how nasty electrical shock you got......
And that one wasn't´even one of the more stupider programs
In some program for 'young people' one guy actually got buried alive in a box. He was eventually digged out though...
Bah, there should only be one 'survivor' program where contestants are locked inside a Turkish/Russian prison. Last one alive would be the winner. Maybe then we would be free from -ing reality shows.

Hm, have you read Stephen King's novela 'The Long Walk?' You get a bunch of desparate people together and they walk - until only one is left - and that person gets whatever he wants for the prize. Anyone who stops 3 times for more than a second (it's timed) is killed. Anyone who falls below the minimum walking speed is warned twice and then killed. If you go off the road, you die. There's no giving up - just a walk till you drop marathon. Now *that* would make an interesting 'survivor' story - and people line the streets to make bets and see the action, as well as watch it via the sky cams. ^_^Simpi wrote:Bah, there should only be one 'survivor' program where contestants are locked inside a Turkish/Russian prison. Anyways kegger, isn't that Sigimon fanart in your avatar? According to The Anime Everything Database, Digimon is the only programme that has that...
