One thing that always bugged me was if its called Final Fantasy, why are there more than one?

The original 'Final Fantasy' was intended to be Square's last attempt at a product before going bust, as their money was disappearing on a succession of unsuccessful games. It did so well that they were able to keep the company, and therefore the franchise, going.

Harvest Moon is still better, though.

I haven't played enough games to put much above the ff ones. If I had to pick two I'd go with Chrono Cross and Legend of Dragoon (and yes, I know everyone said LoD sucked, but I liked it).
