Heh, well I never actually played FF9, I just watched my friend play it - and she showed me the main cg scenes. I'm a bishi freak, though, so the characters just looked too young for me - though I admit, Kuja was pretty, if he were a little taller and not dressed so much like a girl. ^_^;;
And I don't mind the running in circles so much, but with FF8 you had the Island closest to Hell, and even at level 99 for the characters, I still had to be on guard for when the really hard monsters popped up. With FF7, the best place I could find (high materia building) just had about 4 different monsters - not nearly as diverse as the FF8 island (and I really enjoy the tough battles when I'm building up, so that's a plus for me).

Why is that? That shouldn't be happening, especially with the Junction.And I don't mind the running in circles so much, but with FF8 you had the Island closest to Hell, and even at level 99 for the characters, I still had to be on guard for when the really hard monsters popped up.
Ugh, the junctioning in that game makes it so damn easy.
But yeah FF8 had those extra 'tough' creatures, unlike ff7

Ohh shiat.
Yeah, I have that picture. For some reason though that one looks more clear.

Yeah, the weapons for FF8 were troublesome. ^_^; I still haven't managed the trick to get Squall's Lionheart by the second disc - the dumb T-Rexaur's just won't drop the right item for me. But the trouble to get the weapons just make them that much better once you *do* have them. I've played FF8 lots of times, and I *still* get excited when Squall's ultimate limit break pops around while I'm building up. ^_^;; I'm simple like that. I'm one of those weird people who actually *like* building up - yes, even running in circles, just so long as the monsters vary and it requires more on my part than just holding down the 'hit' button (FF7 all I have to do is hold down the automatic attack, set up an double strike materia, and the monsters die immediately - no challenge, no fun ~_~ ).
