But all joking aside everyone. I think James (Hitori) should be given a chance to make the Docuemntary that he so wants to make. James is a very nice guy and is more of an observer than an actual person who gets into conflicts.

If you watch his Documentary, occasionally he will ask a funyn question or two to the voice actress or ask one of us to do something funny, but no one was insulted or harmed. There was a lto of drama between me, my friend, and my ex-girlfriend, but James had nothing to do with any of it.

And Actually, I'm going to clear this UP RIGHT NOW!

The USHICON Doc had jokes and laughs about people but every single joke in there was looked at and approved by each individual....even EK's jokes; I asked her permission first. Of course, Greg (The Head of Ushicon at the time) hated what I did since although it was all fun in games, it didn't really serve as a great promtion tool. But that's his opinion. Personally, Ushicon got alot of attention from both attendees and creators. I had people come up to me Ushicon 2 and tell me that they didn't remember being that drunk while I was filming. But I did apologize to Greg in person finally and talked to the Ben (other guy in charge of Ushi) over the phone and we set things straight. Plus Mexican Junior and I had the best memories at Ushicon together.

The Anime Expo Doc was a a great doc. No real jokes or insults at all. It mostly showed the AMV dinner, AMV contest disaster and the AMV Panel...and exposed what was one of the worse Convention of 2002 since everythign left and right was getting canceled (my own opinion).

The Akon 14 Doc was pretty much a no holds bar since its was all guys involved with the Documentary. I met Jonathan, Wonka, Julian, Mike, there and hot damn the things we saw and heard were way out of control. A MAJORITY of the jokes and pranks were on all of us and each other. HELL TWO FAT GIRLS KISSED ME when MJ got ahold of the camera. But I got my revenge. Haha. We had Whip girls, DDR, Hentai Fest, Sex for Dummies, AMV love with girls...etc. HELL WE HAD LESBIAN SCHOOL GIRLS make out in front of us on camera. You call that planned? Hell NO! To be honest AKON 13 was a Documentary of our adventures and memories. And no one got hurt (except for me and my pride with the 2 girls)

Now I will admit that althought my intentions were good, I did not mean for things to become bad when Brett, Elizebeth, and Brian of More Than Toast. They all asked me whyI had them in the doc for about 4 seconds when Rozard told me not to put them in. It was my own decision and mine alone. Things got out of hand since we could not reach a compromise but I finally did talk to all 3 of them at AWA8 and I apologized to them in person about what I did and about my behavior. And everything was back to normal. In fact, I even gave the curtiousy of not even making an AWA documentary as I had originally planned because I felt really bad about everything and figured things needed to cool down. And they did. Hell I'll buy them all drinks this year too!

But now that other people make Documentaries, everyone is just focusing on all the bad parts. Now let me address both of these newer Documentaries not made by me:

David Violence's AWA Doc:
I saw this about 7 months ago and to be honest I didn't know what to think.Only the last 20minutes of that 50min Documentary are worth mentioning since it's mostly MJ, Dave, Wonka, Fluxy, Julian, and Danny Wilson all making fun of each other with some witty Dialogue. There are several other parts in that doc that were indeed in very bad taste....the difference here is that David meant to do it. He's the kind of kid who things that any recognition from the ORG and aroudn people is a good thing.....EVEN IF ITS BAD AND PEOPLE HATE HIM. He thinks he has won as long as someone knows who he is. Personally, its not a path I approve of but I can't control what he does. But this Doc does insult and hurt people at times.

Hitori's New upcoming Akon 14 Doc
James is a very caring and very friednly guy. As I mentioned, his documentary is only the behavior and actions of actual CON goers. Some are bad times while others are good times. I gave him my full consent that he could show anything he wanted (of my footage). James wanted to make a doc for himself and to share something new around the community since nothing had been made in a long while (released to the public). I say people shouldn't get worked up about his Documentary since he won't be out there lookign for people to torment. The most he is going to want is to see how many AMV creators he can get on film and say hello's and hi's for fun and any witty comments anyoen wants to add. I say people give it a chance and stop telling him about what may or may not happen. GO FOR IT HITORI!

Possible AWA9 Documentary via MindWarp and Nightowl?
Nathan and I were talking about this last night and were both wondering about how to repair the damage. I think Ian or Pat (not sure which) said something about there being no Documentary so far about what an actual Convention is like. Otaku Unite is going to be shown at AWA this year. I am definetly going to go see it. Nathan and I chatted if we shoudl offically make another Documentary (this time one that everyone can enjoy and relate to...mostly toward CONs expereince). We haven't worked out the details but the 2 of us can get some high and nice equipment for it since we are both into Filmmaking :D. But again, this idea is in its very infant stages. I will talk to Nathan when I get back from vacation in about 5 days. A challenge to make a good documentary about AMV Creators along with a CON? I'd say it is a good challenge for us. But again, who knows what may develop in the nest few months.....

Damn that was long. Hope I didn't piss anyone off. :P

On a more serious note,

People really need to stop caring what other people say or think about them.[/img]

Make up for all the bad ones. It seems to me that the few docs I have gotten to see rag on other people or just make sick jokes that only the creator of the doc and his/her friends get.

I personally being the ex-girlfriend of someone who made a doc. After seeing the doc I definately felt differently about him and the jokes he made seemed to me to be very childish and the fact that he defended himself to the end and still tends to be a bit childish about the whole situation.

You know, its ok to mention my name Mandy. You may see it as childish thing but all we had were different points of view at the time. Plus I did apologize in person to everyone for my behavior and have layed off of it since. And no, last I recall you only saw 1 documentary out of the 3 I've made. You have only seen 1/2 of the Akon 13 Doc as well.

In my honest opinion, I don't think your in any position to have say at all about my own Docs since:

1. You weren't there for the Doc filmings.
2. You don't know the people who I spoke to and apologized to about the doc and for my behavior
3. A few jokes and pranks (a majority of which were done to each other...via MJ, Wonka, Julian, Jonathan, and Myself) may seem childish to someone like you....but to me they are some of the best memories I;ve had with my friends.

So think next time you try insulting my Documentaries as....."Bad Ones"

I didn't say that your docs were "bad" I just said there are a number that are just for the people that make them... and thats how they should stay ... for the people that make them. Not posted on the org and such other places.

I have seen your Akon and your Ushicon doc. Both had very chilidish jokes. And not only I think so. All I'm saying is if you are going to do a doc you post in a public place. Do it for the public. Don't put some sick joke or something that could possibly offend people.

That is all I have to say on the topic. I'm sure Hitori will make a great doc!

I may still do my A-Kon 14 doc... But that's going on the back burner for now.. *has to do his entries for awa* Most of this stuff on a doc was the focus of AWA 9 this year... Not on A-Kon 14... I was planning on making another doc for AWA 9 and that's why I made this thread.

I was thinking of doing an AWA 9 one as well... Maybe we can all work together on this one while A-Kon 14 is my own project? But the thing is.. that I wanted to make it right for AWA just like you were planning Carlos! ^_^ But I wanted everyone in the community to help out that would be going to AWA this year.

Since you keep mentioning the idea of getting people to come up to you and the camera to introduce themselves, I want in on this whole "coming up to you and the camera" shindig. Seriously, if I do actually make it to AWA9 I'd like to be, much less mind, being in the doc.

Hey Hitori, I really think you should go ahead with the akon doc, since unlike several of the previous docs, you did not go into this with a "controversy" mindset, but one of "let's just have fun". There were very few times, if any when there were inside jokes or personal attacks on individuals. Furthermore, there was some great modern day storytelling. There was action, suspense, drama, a little perversity, and alot of good times had by all. It would be a shame to let it go to waste because of what people think it will be like.

All this is just my 2 cents, but I would really like to see this come to fruitation.
