Oh, I misunderstood. The global average is taken from everyone. If you haven't given any ratings, then you're not included in that average - everyone else is. It's still there whether you've contributed to the data or not, as something to let you compare your scores with the average of the site.

If people want to pull their averages down, just go through the top 10% list and find those annoying people who made crappy vids and then artificially raise their scores through fake reviews.

I just reviewed one that I suspected of having been artificially raised and gave it 6.28 as a score. Ah, my average is lower now.

Anyway, when I read the other reviews I see nine reviews that are all perfect 10s with each reading pretty much as follows:

10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
OMG Greatest video EVAR!!!

Yeah I've reviewed two or three videos from the same creator (at their request) and they always seem to lower my averages (sigh). And at the same time, I look at the other scores and low and behold almost all 10's and so on....(sigh).

Too bad, we can't do anything about this...at least having great scores doesn't get you like a free car or something.

Man I wish there was an edit key because I was curious about the video you were talking about and I'm fairly sure I found which one you were talking about.

I won't go into specifics other than that I saw a video near the top and now it's a lot lower and your name is in the reviewer's list

This one was okay though, for a DBZ vid, that is...it mainly had video quality issues. It averaged at a 7 for me.
