I listen to midi from real songs like Spellbound from Dimmu Borgir, I have tons of midi songs of Slayer, They kick ass, also like midi tracks from Doom and Duke NUkem 3D,,,and me listen to NEO GEO music...fav is Gowcaizer and Shock TRoopers II 2nd Squad...and hmm midi rullzz its fuckin nice

According to http://www.borg.com/~jglatt/tech/midifile/tempo.htm, the scale is more like MPB than BPM. So you can theoretically get 60 million BPM, but that's 1) pushing hardware beyond its limits and 2) there's big jumps between BPM at that range, so the next lower setting would be 30 million BPM, etc.
