I'd download it if it were the orignal 720x480 MI2 encode Danny made etc, but not for a damn 4 minute video.

This guy truely is an idiot. He don't know how to compress, he don't read the guides, yadda yadda yadda.

So the other alternative is the WMV format. Would you watch that quality knowing I already have it in MPEG-2 and submit an opinion like it was an MPEG-2 file (capture/sound) eventhough of the quality is WMV. I will have both version available by Saturday/Sunday. MPEG-2 up first then the WMV. If you agree that you would then I'll put it up. If not then I willn't post the WMV format so it can hurt our rating.

I don't understand why you can't do MPEG-1 or Divx?

MPEG-1 sounds like crap and looks like crap but the WMV file is better than the MPEG-1 and for DivX I'm unable to download the program because of my farther being to damn protective. Unless you have a program I can use or get me to one were it is easy to use. Then I'll try it. But I already have the video together so I hope I don't have to extract the sound and add it back in because that is a pain in the rear.

Hardly. I've seen some excellent MPEG-1s. Any encoding scheme can perform like crap if you don't know how to use it.

...so use XviD. If he's that protective about it, tell him he can read over the source code to ensure that it doesn't do anything harmful. If he refuses then, then he's just lazy.

Plus I'm using MGI Video Wave 4 to make my videos with. Eventually when I get back in Feburary 2004 I'll buy a better program.
