There's an insane amount of fanfic material out there... some of my personal favorites (note: I've not paid much attention to the scene for several years now. I also seem to rather like alternate takes on series/universes, so be forewarned)

Urusei Yatsura - Just a Dream There's also a one-chapter start to the sequel, which was apparently never finished, After the Dream

Neon Exodus Evangelion Rather good, IMO, 'alternate universe' EVA fanfic that doesn't have Shinji as a main character. Not quite complete, as the 'movie' is still being worked on.

But when they find Wally he's already been changed by an accident during testing. Walley goes berserk with his new evil dimension warping powers and accidentally kills Loud Howard. Assisted by Dogbert and the mysterious garbage man's advice, They must stop Walley before he unleashes the terrible forces that wiped-out Tokyo Inc 15 years ago.

It was a hot sunny day. I was just sitting here 'fronta my copmuter reading some Dilbert strips on the Dilbert website, when the bright red capital letters on my AKIRA poster cought my attention at the corner of my eye. that, combined with the heat delirium I was suffering from at the time, made me write this in my notepad.
