Serious Initial D AMV

Post by Otohiko » Sat Jun 07, 2003 11:25 pm

Presenting my first work:

Anime: Initial D
Music: Dangerous Curves by King Crimson (2003)
(Instrumental) (First use of this band's music in an AMV)
Category: Serious
Length: 6:42
Encoded using DivX 5.05

>>> http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=18517 <<<

Spoilers kept to a minimum since all footage is taken from the first 4 eps of the series.

Please don't disregard, this is the end product of at least 21 man/hours of work and a labor of love by an AMV first-timer and die-hard fan of the band.

When you watch this...

:!: >>>TURN THE VOLUME UP!!!<<< :!:

You will not regret it, I guarantee. The track, set to a creeping beat of the guitar line, is packed with great little bits of various percussion and drum loops, and features a finishing note from hell. The video, with its' ever-increasing speed and action, tries to follow all these little effects and beats as best possible.

It is, in a way, a character profile of an often-overlooked but almighty 'character' - the curves of Mount Akina's track (or, as they call 'em - CORNERS  (But I think CURVES sounds more sexy!)). It also looks at the darker sides of road racing.

Anyways, thanks much for your attention! Hope you enjoy the vid, sorry for the somewhat weighty file size. Please post ops at your own discretion.

Initial D!

The music seemed a bit redundant after awhile.. but my attention was kept thoughout the vid since you've used a good number of different scenes. Great use of the footage and effects to achieve the "dangerous curves" you were goin for too.

Btw - The ending fits perfectly, but I won't give it away.

Great vid.

Thank you kindly, sir :)

As for the constant beat of the music - yea, this one will take me a few days to get out of my head (listening to it 21 hours in a row - X_X). Still, I hope it achieved the effect I wanted it to.

Thanks again, hope more people download it :)
