Overlooked Anime's for Videos
Hey all. I'm sure we have all noticed how some animes and songs get used over and over by video creators. Yeah it's probably because so many people like the same animes, but I am wondering what animes people think have been overlooked for video making potential. Lately I have been going through my DVD's and finding more "serious" type animes that I had never thought of using before, which seem like they will work for me now. This ever happen to anyone else from time to time? Has it ever lead to inspiration for a great video?

I've been very lucky in this regard - a lot of my older anime friends have all kinds of weird stuff that they dig up and show people. As a result I've been exposed to a wider variety of anime than most people, and got to claim the honor of making the first Kenji's Spring video ever - and getting a lot of "what anime was that, it looks so cool" at the con when it showed.
"I'm recording an album tonight. Funny material and laughter will be dubbed in later."

lol, I was gonna make a Kenji's Spring video about a year ago....but the video quality of the TokyoPop DVD wasn't too great. Was there a remaster for it?
And to answer the actual topic's request: I haven't seen enough Nadia, Patlabor, NieA_7, Rose of Versailles, Brother Dear Brother, Romeo's Blue Skies, or Nurse Angel Ririka vids that stood out. There's a lot of potential in all of these shows as videos...it just hasn't been found. (I could be wrong and totally not know if there's a great vid for any of these series. if so, let me know)

Gestalt, Earthian, and Saiyuki.
Those need to be used more often.
And as for wierd moments using an old Aniem like that, hmm..
I made a slide show with Earthian that made em feel all warm and fuzy inside, if that counts. 0.o
Oh yes, and Night Walker. However, I've found that working with NightWalker footage is hard. I can't tell you why. It just seems like it won't fit together...

Yes, you were supposed to send in the faulty disk to TokyoPop to get the remastered version which is quite nice and got rid of the macroblocking and subtitling errors present on the original DVD release.suberunker wrote:lol, I was gonna make a Kenji's Spring video about a year ago....but the video quality of the TokyoPop DVD wasn't too great.
