Due to the fact that i am unemployeed and i enjoy anime I dont feel that this probational period is correct. Donations are defined as someone giving money to a charitable Cuase or something in need. The probational period and being required to download is a bunch of "Who ha" AKA "B.S." i feel that sharing AMV's and spreading Anime is more important than charginging someone for the ability to to download, something that was created to be viewed shouldn't in my opinion be costing anything and the fact that you People @ a-m-v.org would Flaunt that you "WANT" donations to lower time and the fact that you are trying to get people to pay you is almost like blackmailing a politition, or threating a little kid for lunch money!

This is just mildly irritating that this happens on a site that wants Anime lovers to get togeather and share AMV's!!!

It's not so bad. I only recently passed my own probation period a little more then a week ago. It really seems like a pain when you wait. But two weeks isn't that bad in the long run since you aren't forced to donate to ensure your account isn't deleted.

But just think, the donation (or payment if you look at it that way) is voluntary. If you don't or can't pay you still get the service, and for free, all you have to do is wait. There is no where else (unless you have friends with webservers) to have free hosting. In fact, this isn't even free hosting since a-m-v.org is paying for the hosting, the only thing free is the service members get when they join - the site still pays for the space and the bandwidth. Now, if they said you *had* to pay or donate something before you could ever download it might be different, but the probation period isn't that long - compared to before when the free downloading/uploading didn't exist at all. Just think, you can wait the extra time and have unlimited downloading/uploading, or you can go somewhere else and never have anything unlimited or free. I can't find any fault with the current system, in fact I'd lean more towards the mandatory donations, even if only a dollar or two per member before I'd complain because I have to wait or pay money. Waiting is free, and if you wait you'll get the service for free. Think of it that way.

Ajr010386@hotmail.com, you haven't realize that it may be really hard for new members to find a host for their amvs. That's why all members can upload.

Members who donate and/or have passed the "probation" time can download. simple. if you don't agree with it, simply post in the right topic, in the "Operation: Golden Donut" forum.

WTF? Donation? It's a service. You pay, you get something for it. It's like getting an ISP.

What do you mean, spreading anime or sharing AMVs? Not all the videos are on local.

They're not THREATENING you with anything, you little whiner. You kick in some money for the maintenance of the server, you get service in return. This is how the world works, my friend. You'll see when you stop sponging off your parents. It's all very normal and aboveboard.

Just get over yourself and stop whining. If this is so important to you, you need more hobbies.
