Already played the import for the pc. It's a decent little game and the character models and cosuming are great...but in the end it still comes across as just another MMORPG that focuses on mindlessly fighting things to gain loot and levels---and the leveling system used for jobs sucks...
I think I'll be saving my pennies for World of Warcraft or City of Heroes.

I'm mildly interested. I admit to not having bought (or played) FFX yet. And when I do play it, I'll probably rent it first to see if it's worth buying.
For me, Square has yet to make a game to equal the overall quality FF7 and Chrono Cross. FFIX's come the closest, but still no cigar -_-;;

Nope...it isn't anything like FFVIII. FFXI is far more "fantasy" than other recent FFs, and doesn't have much technology (no enemy soldiers with machine guns, mecha, etc).§_Akuma_§ wrote:sounds alot like FF8 *shudders* hehehehe

It is much more like FFV or Tactics, at least in terms of job diversification.

I've only ever played FF7. I've got an emulator for FF3 but i haven't played it. I'm thinking of getting another one person RPG but i'm kinda stuck between FF9 and Legend of Dragoon. any suggestions? Oh, and i only have a PS1. My roommate last semester said FF3 was the best (story wise) of all the FF so far, is that true? Oh well, I guess, not having played many RPG's i kinda sound rather clueless. Who knows...
