1989 arrives in 2003

A digitally remastered (and slightly re-edited) high-resolution (720x480) XviD copy of my first AMV, created back in 1989 when I was but a college freshman, is in the process of being uploaded to the Carrot. Expected upload completion is 9:10 am EDT.

90% of the cuts remain true to my original version. Only a couple of differences here and there, and one dissolve thrown in that I thought looked good.

Only one real instance of lipsynch here, and it works perfectly. There are other instances of mouth movements meant to mirror lyrics, but this is Akira, after all. Too much effort went into making the mouths match the original diologue, let alone allow a then-novice AMV producer to swipe them for a homebrew music video.

This will be my entry into TommyRude's 80's AMV contest.
