How about making an amv that uses an artist that NOBODY'S heard of?

Or better yet, how about an amv that doesn't use anime anyone's heard of AND NOT be with Linkin' Bark?

Hmm, who'd try this outrageously different idea?

My otherwise lameass fourth video added one to the database, so NYEAHH.

People do have unusual things... just not many of them.

Meh. I don't KNOW any bands that nobody else knows, or I'd use 'em.

So anyway. I think that's most people's problem - the very definition of "obscure" is that few people know them. Most of us are in the mainstream, by definition.

So all you hip with-it people just have to make the cool-musiced videos by yourselves.

Oh, and as for anime -

getting bitchslapped for using non-DVD source + lack of availability of import raw DVDs for 99.5% of the AMVers here = Not likely.

Way ahead of you (sort of...chances are some have heard of the anime and song, but they're not exactly big name)

I got some Screwl Stew and Tapping the Vein... and for some people, Rammstein isn't well known (which rock have THEY been under? I mean, who hasn't seen The Matrix and XXX yet? those guys on the stage at the beginning of the movie with flamethrowers and playing with all sort of different pyrotechnics, that's Rammstein!)
