*points* again.
re: sarcasm - Well... eh. It was just the source. Strata, I'd thought, was pretty harsh on newbs ("Good, quit, we could use less people like you") and hard to please. So it confused me when I got a good comment there. That's all. I'm taking comments at face value now, though I realize that sets me up for being played for a fool later. :/
re: saying it sucks - Honestly, that's the reaction I expected. I mean, cripes. "Euphoria" came out what, two weeks ago? A week? I'm never going to reach that in ten years, let alone a week. The bar has been raised and raised some more. The stuff that passed for good a year ago is considered passe now. This may have been considered a "good" video (i.e. among the best) when people first started using computers instead of VCRs and it was impressive to do a couple minor effects. But that's not where the state of the art stands now. Not to mention the availability question! Is it even possible to make a well-respected video nowadays with stuff that's released in North America? I thought obscurity was king.
I can accept entertaining, well fit to the music, energetic, whatever. But good? I can't see that. "Objectively good" has to be measured in terms of what else is out there, and the time in which it appears. "Good" is, to me, a matter of the state of the art. It's the whole package; "good" to me feels more like "flawless".
But maybe that's just semantics.
Ah, anyway, getting off that topic. It would still be nice if someone who's seen the rest of the series could see it. Heh. Just because of interpretation, stuff like Utena (normally the heroine) showing up as sort of frightening and fierce, things like that. That's sort of the second level of the stuff I tried to do, beyond a nice brisk action-y video, and I guess that first part worked well enough, so. ^_^;
Anyway, ramble ramble. Thanks.
