What Makes a Good AMV? (your opinions)

I'm just curious what people here thought makes a good AMV.

Whew, there's such a huge range of things that can make a video work that it's impossible for me to imagine all of them.

There's no one thing that's a guarantee, like, "Stick in a purple elephant and your video will definitely rock!" 'cause something that would make one video might break another.

So my answer is...... it depends.

For me... it's generally coherency and appropriate atmosphere. And a decent, consistent flow. That'll generally do it for me.

I agree, but there is one fundamental truth that must be observed by all AMV's.

it cannot be made by a person who's name begins with T and ends in R, or who used to be in the warez scene and spends his life on usenet acting like a loser.

At least one part in the video that makes you think: "Hell that's artistic, how did he come up with that", and of course some sort of unique style.

UNIQUE is the word.
