  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Post by boobuddhaa » Wed Apr 09, 2003 11:24 pm

 Well..... here is my first vid. If you like it cool if you don't then cool. But, either way I hope it doesn't ruin your day.

I'd love to check it out, but it's on Local download. So people like me can't see them yet... soon though...

Problem is that unless you donated you can't download off the local server yet. So you'll probably have to wait a while before we can see it. I'll be downloading it come the twentieth.

I figured out that one of the problems is that when I used Dazzler, I encoded the vid to MPEG-2. No prob there, but for some reason if your computer does not have a DVD player the video won't play. And I do not know why this is like this but I gave the vid to a lot of people to try and this is what they all came back with. Hope this helps. :(

Sorry

Now that sounds odd. That shouldn;'t be the video codec, are you sure they just don't have an MPeg2 codec on their computer? I lost my mpeg2 codec a while back (God knows how) and I had to get it back by downloading a free copy of WinDVD. So WinDVD provides the codec they need which might be the case. It probably works on computers with it because that immediatly gives them the codec they need but your other friends don't have Mpeg2 codecs so it might not be a problem at all.
