the editing videos section - general errors

I really hate to ask this, considering I've read over 7 threads asking about the same problem, but so far none of those answers have helped any. I successfully uploaded and edited 2 videos, so I know my method of editing them is not at fault here. But each time I spent over 3 hours trying to get the music section of the editing page to work.

First I want to say that the info page is filled out fine - and the link is there. But when I go to the music page, there is only an option to pick the artist. And if I do pick an artist, I am immediately sent to the member main page. Or, if I go back to the edit videos page enough times (starting over each time I get to the music page and only have the artist's link), eventually I will get the song link - but if I try to hit the artist link while the song link is also visible, the entire page craps itself and gets filled with meaningless text and a general mess. The last time I managed to keep resetting my moniter and logging out and back in until it decided to work. This time I'd like it if someone could let me know what the problem is - just *please* don't tell me I didn't fill in the information correctly, that wasn't the problem with the other two vids and it isn't the problem now. Even when the music link isn't at the bottom of the info page, I can try again without changing any of the info and it will be the next time. If it *is* my fault, then it's a problem with my monitor, and if that's the case I need to fix it.

I need more specific information such as the video(s) you are trying to edit, your operating system and version, browser and version, any firewall software you are using, any firewall you happen to be behind, and any other relevant information to your system.

And now I wish I knew more about computers. The videos didn't seem to matter since I had the same problem with every single one I uploaded - I uploaded 9 and each time I went through the same mess with the music page (only the music page).

As far as I know I've disabled the firewalls and protective ware on my computer (the ftp I used worked without the firewall option, and I am able to use normal p2p programs that are usually hampered by a firewall). But I *am* using a university modem, and that could be the problem. My computer is a 2002 version Hp, Windows XP - beyond that I don't really know off hand (computer illiterate for the most part). But I *do* know it isn't the cookies or anything like that (I deleted everything and turned the computer off five times with no effect).

I just wanted to ask about this because, after reading the other posts where people had problems, it sounds like a few of those cases could have been the same thing I have. If I keep trying long enough (refreshing the page gets lots of interesting text fillers but eventually it gets the artist and song options - some 50 tries later on average - no exaggeration, I've been doing this all night and I counted ^_^; ) , it works perfectly well. And if this *is* the same thing some of the others had, the only good advice to give would be to keep trying and eventually it will work - instead of yelling at them for asking the same questions over and over. I tried *everything* in the different theads, and they didn't help. It was only after counting 50 refreshes that I had the nerve to ask a question about it.
