add to that all the hate mail from enraged fans  CN isnt going to be showing any special things for awhile after this blunder.. :|
you're right, I wasnt sure all that was altered in that scene because I was still trying to find out if the butt shot and apartment shots had been cut.

I think misato turns up the AC and adjusts her shirt showing some cleavage in the original (near the beginning) but I'm not positive. If so they cut that too.

What are you people complaining about?!? You don't want to see Eva "butchered"? then hope it comes out on HBO. Christ, don't be unreasonable

Sure, they are going to leave in parts with blood spraying everywhere, partial nudity, and references to heavy drinking  By this logic, any Movie that is rated R or PG-13 that gets played on the TV is butchered. :?

Anyone got some hard evidence saved that claimed these shows would be run uncut and commercial-free? They obviously backed off of that in a heartbeat.

If so, I'll be more'n happy to lambaste Cartoon network for this.

I never expected them to show them uncut. IN fact I watched CN just to see how bad they butchered it but what I saw was a butchery but a masscre. I went and took several showers after watching them today just to wash the filth off me. I almost cried because of the in justices.

I watch to see how badly it was butchered too. They cut out some of the best parts in Eva. I didn't see much of Nadesico as I said earlier. I got home at the point where the Jovians were just starting to attack the Nadesico after they picked up the scientist chick. Forgot her name.

that is the last ep they are going to show right? .. because .. i dont like how they just cut shit out .... if an anime is too "rough" to show .. dont show it .. you dont see them cutting off the sculpture of david's penis .... same idea ..a rt is what another percieves as a work .... it should not be censored for the sake of mindless youngsters just to get a 20 minute fix of their tv viewing
...the problem I see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.
I've seen it happen, man! I've SEEN IT!..

This is a tangent on the current direction of the thread, but is it just me, or did the colors seem washed out and diluted? I popped in my Eva DVD afterwards to enjoy the uneditted goodness, and to me the colors on the DVD seemed more vibrant than they did on the TV. Maybe my TV is set-up weird, but it looked washed-out to me.
