Excel or FLCL to the entire song of "Albuquerque"?

The song, btw, is "Albuquerque" by Wierd Al

How insane would that be? I mean the song is insane to begin with, so how would using Excel or FLCL to the song sound? Good/bad/too long?

I had thought of doing something like this a long while ago, except not limiting it to a single anime. I was going to use a combination of Trigun (for the part in the donut shop), Utena (Juri for the guy's girlfriend..."hair the color of strained peaches"...), and about ten other anime (including a couple snippets of DBZ in there, specifically power-up yelling synched to the long "Aaaaaaa"s in the chorus). But I quickly abandoned the project. The song is freakin' 11:26! WAY too long for an AMV.

But if you want to do it for the hell of it, go ahead. Just don't expect to win very many contests, since they usually put a length cap on AMVs of about 8 minutes.

Perhaps you can edit the audio to make it shorter. Thats what Doki Doki did with his Nyo is War video so the joke didn't wear out its welcome.

Someone was trying to do a multi-editor project to it awhile back, but it fell through, it's a shame, it would have been good.

I say go for it. I'm starting planning on an epic 30-minute project, "Art of Life", so I know all about insanely long AMV's. Albuquerque would be a great way to stretch out the attention span of this place. Oh, and hey..... You've got weasels on yer face.
