web page making help
When making a webpage, does anyone know how to change the little icon that goes next to the title of the page in the taskbar on the browsers task plate thing?
Does anyone even understand what I am talking about?
Thanks.

I used to know, lets see if I an find the info again. I believe they are called favicons. Here is a tutorial that I found along time ago, this reminds me I need to do a favicon for my new review website.

I have no clue if this will put the icon in the tool bar, but this is how it pops into the favoites. Maybe there is some way to twink the code...
Step one: create or find a 16-by-16-pixel icon graphic. In this case I will refer to it as icon.ico
Step two: Place icon.ico in the root directory of your Web site, as in http://www.yourdomain.com/icon.ico. This is where Internet Explorer will look for a Favorites icon whenever someone bookmarks a page on that domain. If you aren't master of your domain, or if you want to iconify only an individual page, you can also put this HTML into the HEAD of any Web page:
<LINK rel="SHORTCUT ICON" href="http://www.mydomain.com/icon.ico">
Replace http://www.mydomain.com/favicon.ico with the URL of your icon file. Under this method, the icon file can be anywhere on the server, or even on a different domain, and have a name besides favicon.ico.
Once your site or page is bookmarked your logo will be seen in the browser's Favorites directory or on the desktop as a shortcut.
