Water..... lots of water.
No, honestly, I take these huge mugs and I put like 6 cubes of ice (5 if I'm not really up for all 6 in one night, and sometimes up to 8 if I'm feeling adventurous) and I keep refilling it with water. When I am editing, I go through more money's worth of tap water than I do all the food I eat in a normal day.
Only problem with that, is that at the end of the session I gotta go BAD!

hmmm. I like Corn Nuts and beer while editing.... But I also like Papa Johns pizza. For the beer, I like Bud Light, or every once in awhile I'll drink a couple of those Sapporo pint cans. Bad things happen when I mix editing with hard liquor. Like "Hamtaro is Hardcore" level bad.

Really good, really quick food for those long editing nights:
Tomato soup with sour cream and salsa. Best evar!
The college staple grilled cheese
Try adding ramen noodles to canned soup
Mexian-style Italian pizza: Flour tortilla with sredded mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and oregano (microwave).
Plant sandwich (prepare like a grilled cheese): portabella mushroom cap, lettuce, tomato, onion (if desired), and swiss or provolone cheese.
Italian skillet: Sliced potatoes, zucchini, roasted red peppers (you can buy them in a jar), sliced ham or turkey (luncheon meat), and olive oil.
