Two More JJK Videos + A Couple More

Post by psam071 » Sat Jun 06, 2026 11:38 pm

April and May has been a whirlwind after the birth of my son, but I still managed to take some time to make AMVs. Here are a couple JJK edits I was able to squeeze out during that time, along with a couple smaller projects. From latest to earliest:

Maki as the Avenger in AMVClassWarfare 2026. I wanted to tell the story of Maki and Mai together, where Maki's tremendous power comes from the sacrifice that Mai had to make. The girl we hated in Season 1 for bullying Nobara became the tragic heroine of Season 3 in the space of a few minutes. Let's see if that message is clear in the video...

I wanted to make another warm-and-fuzzy-vibes video using the cooking scenes from Dungeon Meshi. The main character in the show is slightly different from the subject of the song, a nerdy Dwarven cook instead of a handy Boomer with a chip on his shoulder. But I still love the song's vibe so I went with it.

This is an example of a song chasing an anime. This John Denver song needed an anime, and when I found one that took place on the polar opposite of the song's subject, I watched the show and fell in love with it immediately. After over a month, it's not nearly as popular as my Sendai video on YouTube, but my sister-in-law calls it her favorite.

This one failed to make finals for its category at ACEN Masquerade 2026, and probably for good reason. The original version was a rough: the timing was a bit off and there were some misplaced sound effects. But the notes I received were very helpful and led to a much better product than if I just uploaded the original.
