I have been wanting to edit with NSP's cover of "Don't fear the reaper" ever since they put out their last covers album. I was never a big fan of the original, but this version just struck a nerve in me that made me appreciate how beautiful the song is.

I used the Aimer MV Yoru no kuni as the anime source, making this the first time I've used an anime originally created for music. For some reason it always felt "wrong" making an AMV with animation meant for different music... but then I kept seeing amazing AMVs from editors like Nekokitkat25 and TheLazyDaze that used primarily MV anime. So I really have to thank them for inspiring me to make this

Very sad and solemn but in a satisfying sorta way. Zero idea what I'm looking at here but boy is it pretty.

That shift in tone between 3:15 and 3:29 was really unexpected and wow, I really wish I could pull something like that out of my hat 3/5 through a video because that's usually where my ideas lapse and where most people's attention begins to wane. You did a similar trick on "Spellbound" where there's a couple of... I don't want to say "false endings" but moments where everything seems to be winding down and then the floor suddenly drops out from underneath you and reveals something totally new and different.

I don't like this band but I liked this cover, perhaps more than the original, this was pretty and it lent itself to these scenes really well.

Overall this was really good, I can deduce a story from it (I have NOT seen these clips in their original context), not sure if it's exactly the one that you wanted to tell but it still worked for me and I enjoyed it.

I went into this video with very minimal story planning, and just tried to just go with the vibe of the music. I'd say you did an extraordinary job. The music fits perfectly with these images and the story itself. You have talent, and I encourage you to make more such creations. This cover is better than the original, and the lyrics inspire me. Do you have any other videos like this? I want to do something similar. I was thinking of downloading a song that I like from Youtube, going through this converter https://loader.to , and putting anime scenes as an image. And when I become better in the field of illustrations, I will tell my own story through these illustrations.
