Deep and Wild

Don't worry - despite the title, this isn't a sequel to SICKOS. I wanted to make something simple and sweet after Last Days, so ended up with this one. It's simple and sweet.

The first draft had a bit of a dramatic arc in the middle, with the girl from Garden of Words rushing out to see more nature. I don't think it worked well. I asked my wife for advice, and she said it needed more birds. So I just kept finding more bird clips and adding those instead. The final version ended up pretty good. Although, like every one of my other amvs, it could have used more birds.

I entered this and another video into the RICE competition on the Sashimi discord. I'll post the other video in maybe a week.

Very relaxing and pleasant, the editing is smooth, the sources feel at home with each other and the transitions between them never feel jarring or unnatural.

I don't have a lot to say about this but it's a really satisfying video to just bask in and I think it's achieving the exact effect that you desired.
