Death Angel - Trigun AMV
So, I while I was listening to the OST for the Arslan OVA's (cause that's something I have for some reason), this song stood out to me as something special. It also reminded me a lot of Trigun, so I decided to make this. I started editing this back in May, and honestly I almost finished it back then but for some reason I stopped. I've finally put the last few clips together on it. This video is very loosely edited even by my standards, there are also a lot of slightly odd clip/sync choice. There is not really any purpose to this video other than I wanted to combine this song with some Trigun feels.

Great song pick! There's a ton of neat instrumentation throughout the piece, and you took full advantage of it with some great internal sync. It's clear a lot of care went into it.
I wasn't a fan of how the AMV ended. A lot of this is the song's fault, I guess? It goes into a heavy drum beat and then suddenly ends. I wonder if you could have used a short clip from a different track on the same soundtrack to give it a proper conclusion.
But it's a small complaint. Trigun was one of the series I watched all the way back in highschool. I loved it at the time, and have always been a little sad that it's borderline unwatchable now because of the heavily dated animation and pacing. I think you managed to recapture the magic of the show for me, and it was a real treat. Thanks a lot.

Thank you very much! This is one of those things I was honestly not sure anyone but me would enjoy.vivafruit wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 2:19 pmGreat song pick! Regarding the song, yeah it ends pretty suddenly, most likely because it is part of an OST and is designed to have another song follow on from it. Editing songs is something I hardly ever consider tbh.

I'd recommend giving it a shot sometime! I think it can help a lot with pacing, and it's not as hard as you'd think. You can often get something passable by just cutting and pasting different bits in Audacity, and maybe using some fade ins/fade outs.Katranat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:48 pmThank you very much! As an example, in the Pili Pili amv the actual song goes on for another 45 seconds or so. https://youtu.be/PnzLjXMEqtU?t=208 . The ending isn't bad but it's a little anticlimactic and I think would have been boring to edit.
For my amv I just pasted a "clap" noise onto the end of a major section. The end result isn't amazing, but is passable enough to not be noticeably edited, which is really all you need. In the Kaskade Eyes AMV I cut out a full repetition of the chorus.
