I'm fairly new to the AMV scene, so do help me get better by pointing out anything you liked or didn't like about these videos. Countdown took quite a bit of time to complete, while Bittersweet was more a flash of inspiration.
Enjoy.

Bittersweet was... really sweet! Short but satisfying. Not much else to say about it but AMVs are for feeling, not explaining.

Yeah that's fair. I think I naturally try to make everything that happens in an AMV make sense even if it isn't the most interesting thing to show. I just don't like it whenever an AMV feels like its jumping around to different scenes without any reason, makes it harder to follow along imo.
Thanks for the positive note about Bittersweet, I very much liked it more too.

I really enjoy countdown. There's a lot of really lovely internal sync going on it. For some reason I feel the first half of the video doesn't hit quite as hard as the second, it's still really well timed though.
For me the video really kicks up at notch at 3.11 when the headlights turn on. After that every single scene matches so well with the music it's simply glorious. I especially love how the scene with the car falling apart at 4.18 syncs up with the sound.

Thank you for the compliment! I absolutely love good internal syncs, so I try to find them and use them wherever I can.Katranat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 3:23 pmI really enjoy countdown. I thought the first half would be the one which came out better, since it was my initial idea with the AMV, but I definitely spent more time finding clips and polishing the second half, so maybe thats why it hits harder.
