A Breath of Free! | Big Contest 2020

It's my second time on Big Contest.

This time I focused to colors and flow.

I think that might be due to the scenes from High Speed, but this felt really refreshing and different from the videos that I've seen in the past. I've never seen Free, but I really appreciate how much focus you gave to comradery among the characters. I actually just finished watch and voting for your video in Big Contest earlier today

Gorgeous AMV. You mentioned you paid attention to colors and it really shows - the palette of blues is just beautiful. This also has one of the best endings I've seen - a lot of feels came up all at once in the last 15 seconds or so.

I tried to create something I haven't seen before.
If I had used scenes only from Free series, then there I would have been less space in scene selection and with characters.
So I really wanted to use High Speed as well.

I finalized that part only few days before the deadline, and without my betatesters it wouldn't be that good.

In color granding (which includes many other effects beyond color whels and curves) you need to maintain the original scene's balance (without breaking the visuals) while you pushing the clip's colors to it's limits. - At least I started to learn color granding this way.
And these limits with colors depends on how much good your source files are and most importantly it depends on your grading skills.
