First AMV

Post by ZeroDripBoi » Fri Nov 15, 2019 11:32 pm

First AMV I made and finished. I messed around with Windows Movie Maker years ago and decided to have another go at it.
I'm not great at editing but it was fun despite that. Lemme know what stands out as terrible as well as any tips!

Your video had some decent sync in it, but it feels like you just used one or 2 episodes of your anime. Although its good to try to place scenes in a linear timeline so that the viewer can follow along with the story/ plot, you shouldn't have the video feel like they're just watching you fast forward through a single episode. IMO, the best AMVs tend to use footage from many different parts of a series, and don't just focus on 1 or 2 segments.

Decent sync, scenes match the mood of the song pretty well, there aren't any parts where I felt confused by what you were trying to do. I kind of like the general flow of it in terms of how you establish and keep a sense of momentum, good use of subtle crossfade transitions, clips didn't play out for too long or too short.

Wasn't entirely sure how the song related to the scenes other than the general sense of violence in each. Not sure how much room there is for introspection or character development with this as the soundtrack, all in all this was a decent action AMV. Would love to see another video from you sometime!
