I tried making an AMV Contest Outro/Results video (Elysium Studio)
My studio (Elysium Studio) is a group of friends and youtubers who got together in a discord to make MEPs and talk about AMVs and we recently hosted an AMV Contest for non-members. We got 42 submissions and ranked the first three and an honorable mention. I tried making a results video. It's heavily inspired by Rider4Z's work
I hope you enjoy and please give me feedback!

It seems like embedding is disabled right now. I'll ask my friend to change that

I can see the influence.
It's definitely a trailer/intro/outro thing. I am not sure precisely what kind of feedback you want. Just technical? Because I have no complaints technically. It isn't a story driven editing project, so I can't give you my subjective feedback really either. This kind of editing is very akin to many pieces of actual paid-work editing. You had a specific job. You made something to do it. Therefore you succeeded. Review is obviously limited because it isn't intended to be a story in and of itself.

That is a very good point. The feedback I was looking for was something close the how well the information was conveyed, did it look busy or clean, was it also something with quality to be called an intro/outro. Thanks for the comment!Kionon wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 5:16 pmI can see the influence.

Yo the syncs in this video are dope for real. I feel like a lot of results videos can feel stale and routine but you kept it super fresh and brisk with your sense of rhythm.
In terms of your way of delivering the information, I think the way you framed the videos was great. The framing of the videos within a smaller frame with the text really gave a solid look to each winner, and the text in the top left made it look very professional. Also the choice of song really flowed with the rhythms of each videos, which again kept the video feeling super brisk. The only things i could say might improve this video would be maybe counting down towards the number 1 spot? Like start with the honorable mentions and go from there. This could build anticipation and really give each video its own window to shine instead of starting with the very best. Also, I'd say using both the hyphen and by in the video credits (eg. Radiant Memories - by Epileptic Episode) was a little redundant, I'd say use one or the other to keep it as clean as possible (imo the hyphen alone looks the best).
Sorry I'm so late with this reply by the way! Hope you keep doing work like this though as you clearly have a great, professional style.

I'm not a big fan of that font. At first glance, it kind of looks like it says LST, ZND, ERD (yes, I know that 3 and E should be immediately distinguishable from each other, can't help how my brain is processing this stuff) instead of 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
This is a nitpicky complaint as I thought the whole thing was pretty cool and does the winning editors and their AMVs right by featuring them in a really cool looking presentation.

Thanks for the reply/feedback! Making the 1st place the last video does seem better. I'll keep that in mind.ProstrateConstantly wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 5:59 amYo the syncs in this video are dope for real. Yeah I wasn't so sure about the font but it was kind of like our font so I stuck with it. Thanks for the feedback tho! I'll definitely keep that in mind if I ever make one of these again!seasons wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 6:28 pmI'm not a big fan of that font.
