He is a bad guy, and the video does a pretty effective job making that extremely clear.
Subtitles kind of distracted me from focusing on the sync between the lyrics and the scenes, maybe even adding some visual clutter to the scenes in a way that distracted me from seeing the sync between the non-verbal aspects of the song and the scenes you were using/placement of cuts/etc. Blocking the bottom of my screen with an envelope on my desk actually helped this a lot.
