You've Always Known You're Not Alone / Your Name [AMV]

It's been almost 5 years since the last time I posted and over 10 years since I first came on this site, but I'm back with a new AMV. This one is a bit of a personal one since Kimi No Na Wa (Your Name) had such an impact on me. I had the opportunity to see it in theaters during my trip to Japan a week after its release and it hit me so hard. I recently got divorced and ended up meeting someone who was hundreds of miles away in another country. The distance was brutal but we made it a point to stick together and I eventually was able to move closer. The title of this AMV was based off something my girlfriend told me when I was feeling a bit lonely and it raised my spirits up and made me feel she was the one. We even saw the movie together on my birthday and know it's something we can share together. She also gave me the support to finish this project!

Great AMV. You did an excellent job capturing the emotion of the song and anime, and synced the scenes well with both the beat and lyrics of the song. The last minute in particular was great and you conveyed the intensity well. The only critic I would have is minor. Some of the transitions felt abrupt and could have been smoother. While watching they took me out of the scene for a second. For example, the transition between 2:22 and 2:23 felt abrupt. It went from a blueish purple tone to a dark close up of the pen for what seemed a millisecond. Perhaps it's the way it rendered, but I feel if the next scene was not on the close up of the pen but a second later it would of flowed better. Either way, nice work.

Thank you so much for the feedback! It was such a passion project and it had a lot of emotion to convey, so again thank you. As for that transition that you mentioned, that's actually the scene as it is without editing. She is there one moment and the next moment she's gone. Maybe I should've added a little more to the pen sequence but it was hard to show them writing on each other's hands since when he does it to her you only see his face.
