After last year, I really wanted to try this IC again. I did OK in 2014, but ultimately never having done an IC in such a limited amount of time showed in my final product. It was rushed and yea, I went a little crazy on the camera motion.

This year, I'm much more satisfied with my video. I marathoned Shinsekai Yori in the days leading up to the IC, and created a video that illustrates what the series means to me. If you haven't seen it yet, you must. It has a stellar story and is no doubt one of the best shows I have seen in years.

The video you see here is 95% the same from the original IC version. I've since fixed encode issues, smoothed some transitions / motion, corrected masks, etc. I hope you enjoy it!

Well I be damned. You have always been on a very admirable level, but with each video you jump higher and higher and I'm just standing down here with my jaw on the floor.
Good job, but you really need to put my self esteem into consideration when editing... Don't do such things in 3 days man.

Awesuuummm I am really impressed with this. Shinsekai Yori was perfect for that song and those effects were perfect for Shinsekai Yori. I really need to step up my effects game! I just did an AMV on From the New World as well with a more subtle approach that involves a lot more hardcuts than smooth, cool looking effects like yours. The typography really did a good job adding to the atmosphere as well. You managed to get the point across with just a couple phrases and words, whereas I went and tried to get the story across by showing clips from pretty much every episode. They're different but I gotta say I enjoyed yours more than mine. ANd you made it in 3 days on top of that?! Well I did do most of mine in about two days but still. Golf claps for you Good luck in IC. I'm in it too in the romance category

Thanks! Yes, this anime is very very good. It has a bit of a steep "learning curve" but once you're in the middle of things, it is just superb. Fantastic story and very powerful, mature themes.

I don't usually like writtens in AMVs, but yours were well integrated. The video itself is pretty good, scene selection and atmosphere in particular. Just too many flashes. Hope you'll get a good position with this, good luck!
