Death From Above, 1988

Post by CrackTheSky » Sat Jan 24, 2015 11:38 am

So over the next several weeks I'll be releasing a number of Kimagure Orange Road videos, and I'm going to start today with my AWA Pro video from last year. It's short, and weird, and my upcoming videos will be much more representative of the series/movies and will be...uh, more likable, maybe? I dunno, we'll see I guess, but here's the first:

I like and dislike it. It has an interesting arty/esoteric feel to it, but its just so abrupt. If this was like part 1 in a series of things like this that would kind make it amazing though.

I saw the listed animes and my reaction was pretty much "How would that work?" but damn, it's good! I wasn't expecting this at all, and I'm impressed. You did great!

I can't say I've ever seen something quite like this. Nor can I say that I would have expected that these two titles could work so well together, but it felt really seamless and is definitely the most imaginative use of the titans that I've seen in an AMV in a while.

This brings up more questions than answers but overall I just thought it was a really cool AMV. That's the only thing I'm sure of here.

Thanks for watching. This is pretty much how I feel about it, honestly. It was more of an, "I have this idea, let's see how far I can go with it" kind of deal. Ended up not being very far, but oh well, that's what experiments are for.

Thanks for watching, glad you both enjoyed it! The upcoming videos will be much more traditional. I like them more, and am way more excited to release those than I was this one.

That initial reaction of yours to the source combination is kind of what pushed me to make this in the first place. It was just such a weird mix, and I wanted to see if I could pull it off. Happy you liked it!

Thanks! Was definitely trying for something unique and distinctive, as I was getting tired of the same old action SnK videos. Appreciate the feedback
